Phone triggers contactless payment (Wallet/Apple Pay) when placed near the NFC key slot
When placing a smartphone in the storage space right next to the central NFC card key reader, the car's NFC sensor constantly interrogates the phone. This triggers the smartphone to automatically open its digital wallet (Apple Pay / Google Wallet) and prompt for a contactless card payment, mistaking the car's sensor for a payment terminal. Suggested fix: The software should disable or put to sleep the central NFC reader polling once the car has been successfully started or a driver profile is loaded, preventing interference with smartphones placed in the center console.
