Bring open, offline navigation to Leapmotor
Dear Leapmotor team, I’d like to encourage Leapmotor to consider integrating OsmAnd natively, through a free, open-source version that works without Google Play Services and is fully compatible with OpenStreetMap. For drivers, this would mean detailed maps and reliable offline navigation, without needing to connect a phone or depend on mobile coverage. OpenStreetMap is central to the idea: its open, community-maintained data gives drivers access to maps that can keep improving through local knowledge and contributions. Open-source software also gives users greater choice and control. Its code can be inspected, audited and adapted, while reducing reliance on closed platforms. With careful maintenance and security updates, a native OsmAnd option could offer a more private, transparent and flexible navigation experience. For Leapmotor, this is a chance to stand out by putting those values into practice: supporting privacy, user autonomy and open standards in a feature drivers rely on every day. I hope you’ll consider this for future models or software updates. It would give drivers a genuinely useful choice and show that Leapmotor is building connected cars without locking users into a single ecosystem. That's also true for every other open source alternative like AntennaPod. Thank you
